He did some really nice stuff on Sceptor (they leased some of the early stuff). "Billy and Sue" is a forgotten gem, "I'm So Lonesome, I Could Cry" is great - to me, the definitive version. To my mind, it describes someone on their deathbed, looking back over their life, and meditating on its wonders and trials. Not so much a rock opera, but a looking back in kindness and acceptance of life and all it has to offer. Brad Posted January 29, 2020 Report Share Posted January 29, 2020 I watched The Quiet One tonight about Bill Wyman and his life before, during and after The Rolling Stones. I thought it was quite good although it could have has some more depth. The movie also glosses over the controversy relating to his marriage to a child bride, Mandy Smith, but otherwise is generally a good portrait and well worth the time.
