Benny Goodman Columbia small groups 1941-6

Using Chronological Classics (and a few tracks from the Peggy Lee/BG set)  I compiled all of Benny's small groups on Columbia between 1941-6. It's a shame Mosaic couldn't include these in their box because they're delightful. Columbia reissued some of them on two of those blue-border CDs but they actually sound worse than the Chronological Classics due to noise reduction.

Thanks for putting together this list.  In ye days of olde, would've also made for a nice 2-CD reissue from Sony, with notes by Loren Schoenberg or somebody similar--something akin to what BMG did with Benny's 1930s small-group Victor sides.

At 2:41:34 it might be a hair too big for two CDs, but they'd probably exclude the V-Discs so in that case it would fit easily.

This is excellent work!  I am going to try to put this together as well.  Unfortunately I don't have the mid-forties Chronological Classics, so I will have to use lesser sources.  With the RCA small groups and the Charlie Christian small groups thoroughly mined, this is the next logical step.  Thank you.

I doubt that sources other than Chrono(lo)gical Classics are necessarily "lesser".
I can't say I find my Phontastics that unlistenable.
