It seems that Graz in the 60´s had a great live scene. I remember the strange LP Max Roach and Sonny Rollins Graz 1963 (misdated, it is more possibly 1966), and the Jimmy Giuffree Trio live at Graz 1961 also on Hat Hut, which will be a present from my wife for my birthday (she saw it in the record store). So I´ll also be in for the Coltrane stuff of course.

I wonder how much the sound will improve ...

That was my question too. The front cover notice —actually part of the cover art — of "license of original tapes" would seem to indicate something of significance. If the Giuffre Graz concert is any indication (that show was once deemed "unlistenable," but it turned out that the original tapes were in fine condition; the concert sounds great) then we may have reason to have high hopes. :excited:

I've never owned a boot of this Coltrane show, so for me this is a no-brainer.

Part 2 is available now ... wanted to pick it up at the Swiss distributor's (which is in walking distance from my place), but they were closed that day last week ... hope to get it by Friday. I'm pretty impressed by what stubborn ol' Uehlinger has achieved with his new ezz-imprint, and I'm glad to be able to get the stuff in my hood (that distributor is specialised in classical music, and it's the only remaining "shop" I try and visit every month or so).
