Yeah, I'm a leech on society, obviously.

Actually....I have come to hate squirrels in their living state, they are destructive and invasive creatures, so getting a gun and killing then and then consulting a you tube to see how to dress them is not at all an unappealing idea for me.

The red-shouldered hawk that lives in my backyard makes sure that the squirrel population is "managed" 'round these parts.  In our yard, I've stumbled across dessicated squirrel carcasses split open along the belly and picked clean.  Only some fur and a bit of bone left.  

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to watch "our" hawk fall out of the sky and land directly on top of a snake.  The hawk grabbed the snake with his talons and away he went.  Jaw droppingly FAST and efficient.

The creek that runs along the back boundary of our property draws all sorts of wildlife.
