I think of him as being in the same league as pianist/composers like Elmo Hope and Herbie Nichols. For as long as he has been on the scene, he has been under-recorded. Happy Birthday, Mr. Redd! In 2020, I am completely baffled by the legality of all of this, but you can watch a lot of it on YouTube. I hope someday some audio can be officially released. Bertrand.
