Dave James
Sad news indeed. IMO, one of the two or three best guitarists to emerge from the 1960's British Invasion. Not just a great musician but an accomplished songwriter as well. His story is as tragic as any in the history or rock. Who knows where he might have gone or what he might have done had he not chosen to attend that now infamous LSD party outside of Munich, Germany in the Spring of 1970. https://youtu.be/mcZJCLce1cY Edited July 26, 2020 by Dave James
RogerF
Agreed Dave - The Supernatural from John Mayall's A Hard Road still sends shivers down my spine - PG was a simply superb guitarist and composer (Black Magic Woman!). R.I.P. Greenie.

felser
He and Danny Kirwan did amazing work together in Fleetwood Mac, and IMO Green provided the best guitar of John Mayall's career . RIP.
danasgoodstuff
Green as sole guitar was wonderful (Spencer and he tended to take turns rather than really complimenting each other), Green & Kirwan was a two-headed guitar monster. Green was a fine singer and songwriter too.

EKE BBB
Thanks for the hint! Just listened to those embedded recordings. Years after that fatal German trip, the guy still could play!
