Balladeer
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/02/arts/music/leon-fleisher-dead.html Leon Fleisher died 92 years old. One of the most fantastic musicians of the 20th century. Overcame fate and later played the piano only with his left hand. Very open-minded, too. Listen to his album "All the the things you are" (Bridge) how he plays modern classical pieces and jazz standards like the title and "The man I love" - most fascinating. And when he plays Bachs Chaconne you want to kneel down. RIP, Leon Fleisher..
bebopbob
He was such an inspiration to hear and a real gentlemen to see. Very fortunate to have heard him many times live in recitals and conducting, especially at the Marlboro Music Festival. R.I.P. Leon
