Posted 6 Mar 2021 (edited) Incredible. Happy birthday to him! The last gig I went to before the pandemic was Peter Brotzmann, Masahiko Saroh, Takeo Moriyama, Pat Thomas, John Edwards and Matana Roberts at Cafe OTO. In September 2019, about a thousand years ago. Let's hope there are many more. Edited 6 Mar 2021 by Rabshakeh
Posted 6 Mar 2021 A titan, in so many ways. I was due to go to that concert a thousand years ago and life got in the way

Posted 6 Mar 2021 Very grateful that the *great* Peter Brotzmann still walks this earth among the most 4-5 most influential musicians in my listening life. His playing has only added depth in my experience as I’ve aged and as he’s aged. So much more *there* than what many on the periphery of thinking they know what is what think. long live BROETZMANN the disbanded Tentet remains THE band for me.
