All the best! Thanks Ken, we'll be OK, just shuts down some options such as changing housing to make more room for my daughter and grandson. Have been meaning to eventually sell off a lot of this once I stopped working. This is barely the tip of the iceberg in terms of what I'll be listing to sell. Those of us who took the university's offer of 6 months pay to retire by June 30 were amply rewarded. They also paid me for two months of unused annual leave, plus I had a total of 9 months of other annual leave and accumulated sick leave that added 9 months credit to calculating my pension. And my wife and I are both Medicare eligible, so I've been able to get us enrolled for Medicare B and D with great help from a kind and knowledgeable board member here. About a year and a half later, they started “reducing headcount,” as they call it, so I probably would have had no choice at that point.
