And The Dunwich Horror, with a score by Thee Great Les Baxter!!! AB used to work in 'the mountains' playing piano with this trumpet player I worked for. I asked him if he'd introduce me to him, but he wouldn't for some reason. The same guy also said Charles Fox was going to be at a gig we played, and then the jerk forgot to introduce me to him, when the gig came up! I just heard a Baxter score to an old horror film that knocked me out! Edited November 14, 2021 by sgcim

Was it the AIP House of Usher score, with Vincent Price? That is typically considered his greatest score, along with Pit and the Pendulum. Usher has been released on CD. The tapes for Pit are apparently lost. 8 hours ago, jlhoots said: Saw Stockwell when he had a gallery in Taos. Cool! Did you get to meet him? It was during the time that Dennis Hopper was frequently in Taos. Hopper owned the Mabel Dodge Lujan house & a gallery called Return. There was quite a group of famous people around. We were good friends with Hopper's sister-in-law. Neil Young would show up occasionally. One artist went on to "found" Del Maguey mezcal. Got to taste some good stuff. Lots of artists like Larry Bell & Ken Price were living in Taos. Interesting times. Agnes Martin was in Taos too, but we never met her.
