Nain and Joe's Records

Jim Duckworth

Recommended Posts

On December 7, 1941 Alvin Lewis "Joe" Pressgrove and Raynos Holder of Cascilla, Mississippi eloped.  Over the course of their lifelong marriage Joe served in the Pacific, earned a law degree and became a judge.  Their biography makes them seem somewhat staid, but their record collection from their earliest years together (discovered after their passing) paints another picture entirely.   On December 6. 2021 WYXR presents a radio show is devoted to the records they loved.
