Yesterday, I made a quick run up to McKay's in Chattanooga.  I brought these home:

CDs
Dave Brubeck Quartet - 25th Anniversary Reunion (A&M Horizon)
Joey Calderazzo - Haiku (Marsalis Music)
Either/Orchestra - The Half-Life of Desire (Accurate)
Ella Fitzgerald - Newport Jazz Festival: Live at Carnegie Hall, 1973 (Columbia)
Frank Foster & the Loud Minority (Mainstream/Jazz Heritage)
Sheila Jordan - Portrait of Sheila (Blue Note)
Bill Mays/Ray Drummond - One to One (DMP)
Carmen McRae - Carmen Sings Monk (RCA Bluebird)
Bennie Wallace - Talk of the Town (Enja)

LPs
Tim Berne - Fulton Street Maul (Columbia)
Jack Walrath - Neohippus (Blue Note)

McKay's is fun. You never know what you'll find. And their prices are usually good too.

Last CD I bought was the MFSL of Some Day My Prince Will Come (MFCD 828) from 1990 with the original Teo Macero mix. Nothing wrong with the Mark Wilder remix, but there is a clear difference. Good to have alongside all the other more recent MFSL Miles Davis SACDs with original mixes.

Found this for $8 on ebay today:

EH_FatherOfModernJazzPiano.jpg

Earl 'Fatha' Hines - The Father of Modern Jazz Piano (M.F. Distribution, 1977)
It's a five-LP set:
- 3 LPs - solo piano
- 2 LPs - quartet with Budd Johnson (ts); Bill Pemberton (b); Oliver Jackson (d)

Never heard any of this music. Looking forward to it!  :g

Does anyone know why Subject to Change was never released on cd?  It's not even available to download despite the fact that the two other About Time releases are.
