since you asked...i took the time to listen to the audio and video clips. personally, i think they're crap. the crooning on the "jazzed up" beatles tune is second-rate harry connick (which makes it third-rate sinatra). the other selections are uninteresting smooth jazz. definately not my cup o' tea.

Handle my heart with care, oh, please be kind
This is all so grand, my dreams are on parade
If you'll just hold my hand, they'll never, ever fade
So tell me your love's sincere, oh, please be kind
Tell me I needn't fear, oh, please be kind
'cause if you leave me dear, I know my heart will lose its mind
If you love me, please be kind
Tell me your love's sincere, oh, please be kind
Tell me I needn't fear, oh, please be kind
'cause if you leave me dear, I know my heart will lose its mind
If you love me please please be kind
Tell me your love's sincere, oh please...oh please be kind
Tell me I needn't fear, oh please be kind
'cause if you leave me, dear, I know my heart will lose its mind
If you love me, please be kind
Somehow the thrill I feel is new
I never loved till I loved you
If you love me, please be kind
Please be kind

I really tried to give it some variety, but the patients just don't seem to take well to Sonny Simmons for some reason, much less to Coltrane or even Bill Evans.
When someone asks for something more contemporary I instruct the staff to say that I'm old-fashioned.
One patient gave the receptionist a Kenny G cd for X-mas last year, kid you not. I confiscated it right after he left, no reason given. Don't ask me what I did with it.
Nothing beats R&B. I think it might be the only style of music that truly has no racial boundaries. Sade is surprisingly non-tiring. Al Grey also wears extremely well. So does Marvin Gaye.
My experiment with Ella's Song-Books didn't go as planned. Let's just say that show tunes had an interesting effect on one gentleman, but I politely declined the invitation.
Not that there's anything wrong with it...
