Back while living in Rochester, NY I had a pair of large Magnapan speakers. Loved them, but they were the size of a door. When my wife and I retired and decided to move to Tucson, Arizona, the idea of moving those large and fragile speakers did not seem appropriate. So I found some wonderful Audio Physic speakers (made in Germany) at a local Audio Shop. Was able to make an arrangement with the owner. He would do a trade for my 10 year old Magnapans in exchange for the Audio Physic speakers along with some cash from me. However the terrific part of the arrangement was as follows. He would come to my house a few days before we moved and pick up the Magnapans in his truck. He arranged for the new Audio Physic speakers to be drop shipped to my new house in Tucson. So no moving the speakers and no shipping charge. I have been very pleased with the Audio Physic speakers though they do sound a bit different from the Magapans.

Price reduced. I think this is the lowest I can go on this. Offered for sale is a great, and quite uncommon, box set. It took me a long time to find a copy of this title but it is now time for me to downsize my collection and let someone else enjoy it. I am listing this cheaper than any complete box set currently listed for sale from a U.S. seller on discogs or eBay. And I am listing it close to what I paid for it myself about 5 years ago. I’m following up with a bit of never before heard by me Yes from the expanded reissue cd of “Tormato.” Yes is one of the few rock bands I still give a listen to, and I never realized until last week that they had included nearly another album of never before released material on this “Tormato” reissue. Nice stuff! I’m excited about the big deluxe edition of “Tales From Topographic Oceans” coming next year–that is my favorite Yes release.

Well it’s cold but we dodged a bullet and didn’t get snow overnight that was predicted, so I just cleaned up the car a bit in preparation for a brunch with Texas in-laws that are here for just one more day. Revisiting disc 2 of this excellent new reissue of two Bill Evans albums and many alternates/outtakes. God bless the Plangent Process–I did a brief comparison with an SACD of one of these albums and there’s a subtle improvement in stability and spaciousness on this new release.
