I loved that album, such a great set of songs. Saw them live about then too

I'm envious!  It certainly held up last night when I listened to it for the first time in many years.  Amazing to think that Roddy Frame pretty much wrote it between the ages of 15-18.  Until just now I'd never heard Aztec's 1981 debut single... not bad for a 16-yr-old, surprised it wasn't included as one of the bonus tracks on the deluxe version of High Land that came out a few years ago:

Yes, he was a bit of a prodigy. I stopped paying much attention after 'The Knife' which I also thought was terrific.

I've not heard that single in decades! Thanks for posting it

Sam Dees, Ruby Wilson, Anita Mitchell, Betty & Charles. Fairly pricey when I bought it. Basically like the whole thing.

Yep these are great tracks .... btw the most complete way to have the Malaco Studio recorded Deep Soul tracks - together with .... :

And regarding pricey - to amass these tracks via original 45`s swallowed an arm and a leg 25 years ago and (I know what I`m talking about :g) ....
