  1. Now my wife's trippin' that I haven't played the new Sun Ra cd's from the concert (and I can't still upload any pictures yet!) So, this is next.
  2. What a discovery!!! Another great discovery. Wow! That line up!
  3. I'm not going to press you more, but I just gotta know this, who did? Who pulled her away? Just sayin', my girl, me and that dude are going to have a talk out back. Just how I roll ๐Ÿ˜
  4. Need more detes, what do you mean "one-and-done"? I may have had those kinda dates....๐Ÿซ
  5. Love the Hat Hut/Hatology label, but don't get this series at all. LOL's, I get it! It's usually in the car ride home, when all the questions I wanted to ask comes to fruition. Well, my suggesition is that you attend more Charles Lloyd concerts, run into Don Was again, but this time with a sheet of questions. ๐Ÿ˜
  6. Did you by chance slip in the Mclean/Hipnosis bug in his ear....๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. Don Was is proving to be harder to chase down then I thought. Back in the "walk the dinosaur, Was Not Was" days, dude could be found everywhere. Now that he's CEO of BN now, I can't find him anywhere...but, I'm going to keep trying.
  8. Still enjoying this great haul. Thanks, John!
  9. There's another one? ๐Ÿ˜The first one was spooky enough!!!
  10. Just got this exact copy in Chicago last week! Woah.
  11. Just saw the Arkerstra last night!! Just picked this up in Chicago last week!
  12. Right! Sonny was dealing with a breathing issue, and I am so glad I saw him at Severnce Hall in 2001. 3rd row!
  13. I have excellent pics, and vids, but stuff is uploading slowly. Besides mini-moog (expected) all acoustic bass and piano, much in the flavor of the Chicago period. Bonus, everyone was in costume! Marshall, wasn't there, but another old-timer was, Ray Copeland (Phidelphia?). What a great show and my wife went holy bonkers out on the Sun Ra merch, which I have a pic of. Great to see that 20 and 30 year olds were there, which shows how the younger generations are appreciating this music! Hnads down, one of the best concerts I've ever attended.
  14. Big time, AB looks so badass in that photo, one of the coolest photo shoots (outside the BN orbit).
  15. Thanks, Pim. That address was posted here, and I got confused. Wish there was a CD release, but alas.
  16. Hutch is fascinating. Personally, this track helps me keep things in perspective. Track 5, "Procession". Deep.
  17. Just me, but I'd still go to those shows, and listen to the same playlist. Made poor choices in the past, like for example, passing on Brotz when he was in town (I was hoping more for a "Die Like A Dog" setting) but it was hardly that, and soon after, he passed. Agree, that I haven't really been interested in Dave Holland's music for some time, not since the mid '80's, but like others from that generation, maybe it's time to retire and enjoy life. Sonny Rollins is retired, why not legends like Jack DeJohnette and Dave Holland enjoy their amazing accomplishments and patio live too.
  18. Took a bit, but so glad I stuck with it, now it is one of my favorites, a fantastic record!
  19. The duos with Barre Phillips๐Ÿค˜
  20. The Impulse! period is strange, yet still fascinating. I really like this one too:
