  1. Hi, I would like to buy the Curtis Fuller if still available. Shipped to a friend in ILL. BR Anders in Stockholm
  2. Aaron Bell 77 is really a trip - quite swingy!
  3. Art Pepper Meets The Rhytm Section on Stereo Records 1958. My dad bought that so I've had Access to it from early years.
  4. Told you so - It's not Jazzy but there is always a Groove in Herbie's work;-.) Future Shock was kind of cool when it came out - we had heard nothing like it ;-)
  5. Yeah strnage to have the stereo arrows on the cover. If used they should IMO be pointing inwards instead of outwards ;-)
  6. +1. That box is truly excellent. The Maynard Ferguson Roulette would be my other contender.....
  7. Wow - almost a shame I have all of it on CD and a lot on Vinyl. The Flood and Directstep albums are great and some of the later stuff is pretty cool too if you don't expect jazz.
  8. This is very very surprising and very very sad to hear. He was one of the house Gods to me and my family. A big part of the soundtrack of our lives. I have EREYTHING this man put out as solo artist and have listened to him since 1979. Now my kids love him too and we have had him on heavy rotation the last couple of days. And I among with many others had the pleasure of meeting him after a concert in Stockholm. He was truly the nicest guy! We will miss you.
  9. Mine works fine after several years. A really great box musically!
  10. I like the Ruth LP quite a bit! Some fine playing there.
  11. My stulys is from 1995 still going strong ;-) Before you think I'm too crazy there was a long time I maybe only played an LP once every week or so.....It looks fine through a microscope and sounds great with no mistrackin. Only problem is with LPs with groove wear which I try to avoid anyway.
  12. I was checking out the availability of the Lenny McBrowne album when I noticed that Don Sleet is part of one of his bands. That reminded me of Sleet's All Members and what an overlooked gem it is. Here's a link to a website where you can listen to Eastern Lights. My link Nice Link! It is really wonderful melodic bop ;-) And Don Sleet's All Members CD is great too!
