Jazz Kat
Wallets dont get returned. At least not with the money in it. I was shopping for music once in Borders, and checked in my pocket and my wallet was gone. No where to be found.

connoisseur series500
I once left my wallet at a public phone at the train station in Nagono, Japan when I was in my 20s. I rushed back after a half hour or so, and there it was undisturbed and everything. Those Japanese....

JohnJ
I once left my wallet at a public phone at the train station in Nagono, Japan when I was in my 20s. I rushed back after a half hour or so, and there it was undisturbed and everything. Those Japanese.... Not recently Conn. My wife recently had her bag stolen from inside the ladies toilet in a department store. Some guy rushed in, reached over and grabbed it, and run off. He ran straight past me, but I had no idea at the time what he had done, even though I thought it strange to see him running so fast. By the time my wife emerged in a panic, he was long gone. I have other experiences of less that honest behaviour too.
