Dmitry Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Saw this one today. Band does a 20-minute version of the Sonnymoon for Two. That's kind of intriguing. Sound is live mono. A worthy pick-up? Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Very good Dexter, never noticed if it was mono or stereo, it is out of print, get it. Quote
jazzbo Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Art Taylor KILLS on this one. That is one very tired drumset by the end. As a former drummer, I dig this one. Dex has a fire lit under his ass! Quote
Cali Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Don't pass this one up! This is one smokin' album. What Lon says is absolute! Art Taylor plays like this is the last time he will ever play drums and he doesn't want to leave anything left unsaid. Oh yeah, you're gonna love this one. Quote
kenny weir Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Totally dittoey. Can I get a translation? Quote
Peter Johnson Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Kenny, I took the liberty of running it through Babelfish into Japanese for you: 総に同様に Hope that helps! Quote

king ubu Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Ditto again! AT really makes this something special. Nice booklet, too, with some cool photographs. I think this one has the edge over the Blakc Lion Montmartre recordings, at least as far as sudden impact is concerned. A really swinging club date. ubu Quote
