blajay
So Sing Me A Song Of Songmy doesn't get much airplay in the Stereojack household then, eh? Bought it when it came out, shitcanned it not long after. A trumpet playing buddy of mine (and big Freddie fan) keeps touting this one to me, but I think I can live without it. Ha! I love that album, weird as it may be. And that picasso painting is a badass cover.
sidewinder
Another for 'High Blues Pressure'. I've been playing that LP quite a lot lately. In a way, it's almost a 'sister album' to 'Blue Spirits', in that it has the extended lineup with euphonium and the added depth. And of course there is 'Night of the Cookers' Vols 1 and 2... gmonahan
There is jawdropping live Hubbard on Above and Beyond (Softly as In a Morning Sunrise). Oh yeah, "Above and Beyond" is a great album--Freddie in *great* form. greg mo
