Currently listening to Engraved In The Wind (RogueArt, 2013) by Nicole Mitchell.

Now this is a jazz flute album.

I just wish that RogueArt sold downloads. I don't really buy CDs anymore. But there is so much quality on that label.

Now, that is a special album by a special musician in my book.

I saw her at Oto, duo with Mark Sanders. No more than 15 punters. Great concert.

This was the last Muse sessions I still had to obtain. Never managed to get the Mosaic box for a nice price. I am very much impressed with the excellent music on it. And bonus track 6 really sparks my interest for Joe Chamber's Almavorid date....

I like 'Cassandranite' well enough but Almarovid is absolutely wonderful.  A different level from my perspective.

As far as I am concerned, this is one.of the classics of the 60s avant garde.

And I've never heard it but will redeem myself asap on the back of that description

Very fine. Here another one. Usually I´m not such a big fan of solo recordings, but this one has fascinated me when it came out.

This record is fantastic.

I agree. First time I’ve heard it but Lloyd and Frisell are in great form.

Charles Lloyd is getting even better with age !
