jazzbo Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 Fabiano Do Nascimento, "Tempo Dos Mestres" Brazilian guitar master with percussion and flute and reeds. I don't know how to describe this music except that it is atmospheric, expertly arranged and played, beautiful and expertly engineered. Quote
erwbol Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 Starting with Trompeta Toccata. The SHM-CD added too much compression causing a very booming bass. This is just sublime! Quote
sidewinder Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 (edited) Good - sounds very promising ! I noticed recently watching that Sophie Huber Blue Note film that there was a very good Francis Wolf photo shown of Patato in action. Edited May 31, 2021 by sidewinder Quote

Niko Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 (edited) Maria Grand - Reciprocity whatever brought me here... first reaction: someone took Steve Coleman's super dry music and tried to bring it back to life... sometimes, she may have taken stuff too literally, and the singing is what it is... but I would argue that it did work to the point where I much rather listen to this than to a recent Steve Coleman recording. recommended. mikeweil Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 Yesterday in the afternoon: Today in the car this Jelly Roll Morton compilation, which was a bonus from a discogs seller last week. I have it all in other reissues, so I will pass it on to a friend. Quote
Larry Kart Posted May 31, 2021 Report Posted May 31, 2021 The date with Pee Wee Russell! He and Wilson, however unlikely it may seem, were a lovely musical pair. l Quote
