mjzee
I've been collecting those Benny Carter Pablos as I see them. I have The King, Montreux '77, Wonderland, Carter Gillespie Inc., and this one, which (IMHO) is the best of the batch - really exciting "small big band" music (with the requisite ugly Pablo cover):
Dan Gould
For those not receiving Loren Schoenberg updates on FB, I have added Volume 5 details to my earlier post, and repeated here. Pretty interesting group and the only known recording of Benny with Barry Harris. The music can be heard on Youtube on the Harlem Jazz Museum page. Volume 5: Benny Carter, alto saxophone Dizzy Gillespie, trumpet Barry Harris, piano Stanley Jordan, guitar Joe Kennedy, violin Larry Ridley, bass Yusef Ali, drums Edited November 22, 2022 by Dan Gould

Justin V
Stanley Jordan also guests on Volume 6. I listened to 4 volumes on YouTube over the weekend. There's a good chance I'll end up buying all 8 volumes.
Dan Gould
Can anyone chime in on the "best" releases? I expect an Amazon gift card for Christmas but it won't be large enough to cover all. So I am curious if anyone has an opinion on the "not to be missed" volumes?
