JSngry Posted December 24, 2023 Report Posted December 24, 2023 Regular Season in the home stretch, playoff berths still up in the air, a handful of teams seem solid, many more could go either way. Your thoughts, hopes, wishes, and despairs have a home here. For shockingly few teams, it's not too late just yet! Quote
Dan Gould Posted December 24, 2023 Report Posted December 24, 2023 Not a good sign its Christmas Eve when this thread gets started but then again I have seen not a single game and have virtually no knowledge where team stands except that I believe the Bears remain a pile of suckitude. Quote
JSngry Posted December 24, 2023 Author Report Posted December 24, 2023 Dolphins @ Cowboys today, let's see who best plays up to hype, er... perception. Quote

Don't think we have a 2023/4 NBA thread either. Quote

Brad Posted December 25, 2023 Report Posted December 25, 2023 It was the Fraud Bowl. Neither, but particularly the Cowboys, are good enough to get to the Super Bowl. Quote
JSngry Posted December 25, 2023 Author Report Posted December 25, 2023 Chiefs got readily handled by the Raiders. Hmmm ... Quote

JSngry Posted December 26, 2023 Author Report Posted December 26, 2023 Ravens fully frontally carpe diemed!!! Quote

Brad Posted December 26, 2023 Report Posted December 26, 2023 Purdy simply had a terrible day. He was probably due. However, the 49ers record against the AFC North isn’t pretty, 1-3, although they should have won the Browns game. Quote
JSngry Posted December 29, 2023 Author Report Posted December 29, 2023 Having a good time watching Joe Flacco playing a full game. Quote
JSngry Posted December 31, 2023 Author Report Posted December 31, 2023 Thank you Eagles, but Ravens making everything look irrelevant at this point... Quote
felser Posted December 31, 2023 Report Posted December 31, 2023 Ravens-49'ers Superbowl coming up, I think. I'm an Eagles fan, but they look like toast to me at this point. Quote
JSngry Posted December 31, 2023 Author Report Posted December 31, 2023 I could see a fluke where the Lions beat the Niners (but expectation bias means it might not be a fluke?). But I don't see anybody beating the Ravens, barring some crippling injuries. Talk about locked in ... Quote
GA Russell Posted January 7, 2024 Report Posted January 7, 2024 If Cincinnati beats Cleveland, all four teams of the AFC North will finish above .500. This (all four teams finishing above .500) has not happened since the NFL West of 1935. AFC North will become first NFL division in 88 years to pull off this feat if Bengals beat Browns in Week 18 (msn.com) Quote
JSngry Posted January 7, 2024 Author Report Posted January 7, 2024 Nobody looked good in the Steeler/Ravens Lite game. Has the proliferation of indoor venues weakened the "weather game" gene pool? Still, glad to see a Steeler win, just to add a little drama for today's game. Texans and Stroud showed up and played hard, but so did the Colts That was a good game all the way to the end. Quote

JSngry Posted January 9, 2024 Author Report Posted January 9, 2024 Baltimore still likely in the AFC, but damn, Buffalo looked like demonball last night. Quote
jlhoots Posted January 9, 2024 Report Posted January 9, 2024 Upset pick (hope) Packers over Dallas. America's team (Dallas), my foot. Quote

As always, it will depend on which Cows team shows up. Also as always, I'm rooting for the Cowboys but understand anything can (and routinely does) happen. Quote
