I’ve been spending some time playing around with restoring some of the recordings over at the Internet Archive and I'm looking for some resources and/or advice. I’m using Adobe Audition (it’s what I have access to) and would appreciate some thoughts on approach for dealing with these sort of recordings: I’m mostly interested in Swing Era recordings that I currently only have in poor quality. The 78 transfers are noticeably better despite the heavy noise. I guess I’m looking for something in between suitable for an enthusiast but not an audio engineer. Help appreciated!
