I recently found some transcriptions of John McLaughlin's early tunes (from Extrapolation & Devotion) on what I think was a personal website. It had the head and chords of Spectrum for example. Does anyone know where these tunes might be obtained in published format? I wondered whether there were indeed triplets in bars 7, 8 and 12 of Spectrum as I couldn't really hear these on the record.

Hi - I play in a UK band called Astrakan and we've just recorded an album of Instrumental tracks, heavily jazz/improv influenced, which we would like to release. Has anyone got any advice on going about getting a US distribution deal? Or UK/European come to that. The band can be heard on http://www.myspace.com/astrakan.

Any advice or offers (or comments on the music) would be gratefully received.

Something has happened. I can't log onto my Myspace music page. This is a place I use to, well I use it for pretty much the same thing everyone uses it for, to get our music out there and all.

I'll hold back on the details until someone who knows their way around Myspace replies.

Sometimes myspace just clogs up for a bit. Try again today. Beyond that I am, personally, at a loss.

Yeah, I agree with the above. I was trying to load up some tracks last night and it took on average about four attempts at each before it worked. Most annoying and time consuming. I also tried to log in today only to be blocked by some stupid Iron Man ad. I complained to the controller but haven't heard back yet.
