I know this is an old post, but sombody may still be interested. Both 'The Trot' and 'Goin' On' are on a Giants of Jazz release from 1992: Count Basie and His Orchestra: The Music of Neal Hefti and Benny Carter. CD53040. Both tracks are from the same recording session: New York, October30-31, 1961. This seems a nice CD, having most of the Kansas City Suite on it, and eight Hefti songs that for some reason are all different to those on the Basie Plays Hefti album. You'll find it on Amazon as "Music of Neal Hefti &" - not sure why they truncated it.
