Freshmen year in college some cats invited me to a Zappa party. Didn't know who the hell Zappa was not much of him played in my hood at the time. That night I smoked more weed than anytime prior in my life. Don't know if it played a part in me digging Zappa but I did become a fan with " Over-Nite Sensation , Hot Rats and The Grand Wazoo.

Listen to quite a bit of jazz radio mainly on the net only a few hours a week on Public radio in my area and those sets I'm not feeling. I'm a mainstream kind of cat and my fav stations are WWOZ , WRTI and KJAZZ. I listen at the job, in my ride using my monster hook-up and late night at the crib as I fall to sleep. Thank God for Pillow Speakers keeps the wife cool. I also us XM , Pandora , AccuRadio and just hooked up Google All Access for $10 bucks a month u can listen to just about any album out there. That's pretty hip.

After digging Jose James blow "Simply Beautiful" from his 'While You Were Sleeping' disc coped Al Green's Greatest 'I Still In Love With U' to hear the O.G's version. Can't cut Al but Jose's version's is sweet and Kuroda's solo is def. Word.
