sal Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I am really enjoying this record. It took about 3 listens for it to settle in, but now I'm really starting to appreciate what Ravi is doing. I had only heard "Mad 6" and his brief appearences on a an earlier Jeff Tain Watts disc, but his work here I think far surpasses what he has done before (that I've heard). Also, this is my first time hearing EJ Strickland on the drums. What a monster! Anyone else heard this disc and have an opinion? Quote
jazzsphere Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 QUOTE (jazzsphere @ Mar 5 2005, 09:59 PM) I've followed Ravi's career and he is one of my favourite saxophonists. His new CD "In Flux" is oustanding. Here's an article I wrote about it on allaboutjazz.com: http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=16765 Regards, MarkT. Quote
