jazzman4133 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Often, when working on a music file and correcting for clicks, pops, bass response, etc., I will save the file for the first correction and then use that file for the second correction and so on. By the time I'm through I might have a 4th generation of the file which is the one that gets burned to CD. Am I losing anything by using the 4th generation? My understanding is "no" because each file is not a copy but rather a "clone". Agree? Quote
Aftab Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 I agree - as long as you are just opening and closing the file, not resampling or re-recording Quote
