Big Wheel Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 I'm currently putting this box on my mp3 player and, to save space, am encoding all the mono sessions in mono. When do the stereo sessions begin? And are the live dates at the Plaza and Newport in stereo? Quote
Claude Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 (edited) That's a good idea, but if your MP3 encoder doesn't handle this well (which is often the case) you must make sure that the bitrate is reduced accordingly. If your preferred stereo bitrate is 192kbs, you can set the mono bitrate to 96kbs. In the Miles/Trane box set, the first disc and tracks 1-9 of disc 2 are mono (sessions A-C).
