The days before Pesach in Jerusalem are special:

Shopping frenzy: food, fresh produce for Pesach dinner and presents for everyone;

House cleaning;

Hag'alat Kelim: The ritual rinsing in scalding water, to make the utensils Kosher for Pesach.

Here are some pics taken yesterday in Me'ah She'arim, an Untra Orthodox neighborhood, of "Hagalat Kelim":

"Mach'neh Yehudah" market, probably my favorite place in Jerusalem.

2 Shekels (45c) for 1 kg of artichoke, tempting...
