Tjazz Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Saw several DVDs for $2.99 at Amoeba. Norman Granz Jazz in Montreux. Most of the DVDs were underneath the shelf in the jazz DVD section. Quote
John Tapscott Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Well, I sure wouldn't hesitate at that price!!! Quote
Kalo Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 I woulda bought 'em all at that price. I'm especially interested in the Benny Carter, because the Pablo LP of his Montreux '77 appearance is some of my favorite playing of his, ever. I assume that the DVD is the same performance. Anyone know whether this is true? Quote
neveronfriday Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 These are great DVDs, especially at that price (the menu etc sucks, but the performances are great). I have most of them. I don't have the Carter but, yes, I'm sure it is that performance. Others I have are pretty much identical to the CDs/LPs ("pretty much" = I'm not near enough to the stuff to check, but I'm 99% sure). Quote
Kalo Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Thanks neveronfriday! I assumed they were the same, butchyaneverknow. Quote
