Guest youmustbe Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 One of the first Jazz records I bought in 1959 was the GNP Brown-Roach In Concert. Even at 14, I knew that solos were cut out. Fresh Sound has just released in digipack with great sound those concerts. They didn't put a sticker or explain it well, but Harold Land's and Richie Powell's solos on Jordu are restored making it complete and Richie Powell's solo on I Get A Kick Out Of You is restored and that is now complete and there is something like 33 seconds more of Clifford on Tenderly. The concert with Perkins and Edwards unfortunatly the extra choruses have not been found, but there are announcements by Max that are not on vinyl or previous cds. Quote
Kalo Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 Sounds like another for the (increasingly lengthy thanks to you Organissimites) buy list. Quote
