scottb Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 I have signed up for a 2 week free trial with Rhapsody. Unlimited downloads for 2 weeks. (I better go get some more CDRs!) Anyone use this service? I'm probably not going to keep it after the trial but they do have a lesser service which is FREE and gives you 25 free downloads a month. I might do that just to get an album or two each month that I normally wouldn't pick up. Especially new release, non jazz stuff. Quote
md655321 Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 Its a nice service, but Im pretty sure those CDrs wont do you no good. You cant burn anything onto disc unless you purchase it per track (in addition to paying for the service or having a trial.) Ive used it., an its great. But i just cant see myself paying to listen to music that I dont own afterwards. Quote
scottb Posted July 11, 2005 Author Report Posted July 11, 2005 Really? It seemed like they were saying I could dowload it and burn it to CD as much as I wanted. Burn CDs Mix up your favorites and burn custom CDs with our high-speed CD burner. Quote
Christiern Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 When they offer you something gratis and then want your credit card info, I immediately quit the site. Quote
scottb Posted July 12, 2005 Author Report Posted July 12, 2005 OK, now I get it. You can download as much music as you want to play on their software and sure you can burn as much of it onto CDs that you want... for additional fee that they have failed to mention up until you hit the download now button. I will load my harddrive with discs I have wanted to sample and haven't bought yet and then I'm done with them. Quote
md655321 Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 Cant do that either. You can only stream the music while you are registered. As soon as you quit you dont get anything. Its actually still pretty nice. 10 bucks a month for unlimited music listening, including the entire Blue Note catalog. But nothing is downloadable or burnable without a fee. Quote
