Guest Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 I am currently writing a book on 1950's-era saxophonist Ed Wiley, who recorded scores of records for labels like Jade, Freedom, Sittin' In With, Atlantic, Mercury, and I'm searching for Tamara Shad, the daughter and niece of Bob and Morty Shad. I understand that she is a re-issue producer who is still active in the record business. Does anyone have contact information? Also, does anyone have any anecdotes, photographs, early posters or connections to this musician, who recorded with the likes of Goree Carter, King Tut, Teddy Reynolds, Earl Hooker, Roosevelt Wardell, Johnny O'Neal, Piney Brown, Elmore Nixon, James Widemouth, Smokey Hogg, Big Joe Houston -- among others. I've finished a couple hundred pages of the manuscript and a film production company is producing a feature-length film. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks Quote
Claude Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 According to a guestbook entry from 2004 on this site, her label is Mainstream Records: http://www.mainstreamrecords.com Quote
