BERIGAN Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 So, I was listening to Fats Waller and his Rhythm, the Middle Yraers, part 1 (1936-38) and I heard a woman singing with Fats....Peggy Dade. Hmmm, didn't recall the name. She sings On the Sunny Side of the Street, and Georiga on my Mind, and does a very nice job on them. So, I search Allmusic.com, no info, google just seems to bring up the Waller tracks...What if any info does anyone have on her? Fats rarely recorded with female vocalists(I'm sure more than just with Peggy Dade and WC Handy's daughter, but only one's I can think of) so he must have thought highly of her.... Quote
