jazzydaddy Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Hi John, I saw Randy perform live a few months ago and realized I didn't have that many albums by him so I decided to pick up "Live at Sweet Basil". I am very pleased with the album. This is Randy performing several of his compositions in a quintet setting playing some very bop oriented material and supported by Dave Kikoski and Bob Berg. This is not the "Steps Ahead" type group. A very good album in my opinion.
