White Lightning Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 I'll give these guys A in Shoehorn digging and F in navigation: Men used shoehorn to dig hole under border MOSCOW, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Two Egyptian men traveling in Russia allegedly used a shoehorn to dig a tunnel under a barbed wire fence to cross the border into Poland. Russian prosecutors say the men, who arrived in Russia on tourist visas, were trying to reach Western Europe, the Interfax news agency reported. Prosecutors said the men got lost in Poland and, when faced with another barbed wire fence, thought they already were on the German border. They allegedly used the same shoehorn to dig another tunnel and crawled back to Russia, where they were arrested and sent to the Egyptian embassy in Moscow by train, MosNews said. Interfax said the men allegedly got off the train in west Russia, hitchhiked to the town of Sevsk and were arrested while trying to cross the border into Ukraine.
