Bright Moments Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 davis, golson, laborial, cobham, rushen and brown have all played together in miami at the melton mustafa jazz festival (an annual event). do not miss them!! for my money, nathan davis on soprano sax is the best alive at his appliance and he has gotten better with age. if you have not seen abe laborial perform - prepare to be astounded! he is THAT amazing and a COMPLETE performer. let us know how you enjoyed them! birdanddizzy Posted September 22, 2006 Author Report Posted September 22, 2006 The round table was really interesting. And this morning there was a masterclass with all the musicians : I could play piano with these giants... I was very impressed and a bit ill at ease... The French sax player Jean-Louis Chautemps was in the audience... Nathan told anecdotes with Monk, the Nicholas Brothers, etc very interesting ! Tonight, concert at the Unesco in Paris. Quote
