A set I highly recommend:

The classic Hammer "re-imaginings" of the Universal cycle, quite risque when released...not very shocking by today's standards, but still skillful and VERY entertaining. Perfect balance of suspense and dry British wit.

Curse Of Frankenstein - the film that started it all. Cushing is perfect as the doc and Lee's monster (which looks like walking road kill) is convincing and very sympathetic. The secondary "romantic leads" are a bit of a distraction..but thankfully they have minimal screen time.

Horror Of Dracula - the cream of the crop. Lee became forever etched in our brains as Dracula thanks to this movie and it's many sequels. No wonder...he ROCKS in the part. Fast paced script makes liberal changes to the Stoker novel...but you won't care because it's too much fun while it's rollin' along. Cushing is dynamite here, balancing his character with liberal doses of humor.

The Mummy - a favorite from childhood. Cushing is the archeologist...Lee is the resurrected (and highly pissed off) dude in bandages. Make some popcorn and enjoy.

The included sequels are high quality as well. Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed is the best, crackerjack horror flick dealing with body swapping. Taste The Blood of Dracula & Dracula Has Risen From The Grave are both well made though suffering from less than stellar screenplays (though Lee makes them worthwhile).
