jbs-tom Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 i have the complete japan blue note 10" collection. these are a total of 50 titles ! all of them are mint/near mint and have the obi. does anybody know what they are worth ? of course i saw a few titles on ebay, but always mostly the same 4-6 titles for around 20-30 US$. spent also a good money for these, but not sure if i will keep them. the sound is pretty good i must admit - for me better than the newer toshiba 12" vinyls, but i never did collect 10" til now. thanks for input tom Quote
michel1969 Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 You should keep them. All those Japanese are fine pressings. The price of the whole package will be equivalent to half the price of an orginal pressing Quote
eeegor Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I'll second Michel and say "keep 'em". There's only a few of those sessions available on Connoisseur cd releases, and the sound of them is quite lovely. A friend of mine also has all 50, and I remember quite enjoying the Lou Mecca and Hank Mobley Quartet dates. Unless you really need the dough, try to wait another 5-10 years before selling them - that'll hopefully find you making your initial cost back. Quote
