microbusone Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 so.... I have a vintage SANYO DIRECT DRIVE TP-1020 w/ a SHURE 3X CARTRIDGE. I plays my record collection nicely. I just bought a new receiver and when I hooked it up the sound on the right speaker was non existent. It works w/ cd and everything else channel but i am wondering if i could be the cartridge or the audio cables.. please respond. Quote
RDK Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 First try switching the cables (right-to-left), then maybe any tiny cables on the cartridge. Quote

Chalupa Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 (edited) You might want to read about the problem that I had recently w/ my TT. It turned out to be the wiring inside the arm. Parkertown Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Maybe it's the phono stage of the receiver...switching the cables will let you know... It worked fine before, right? On your old receiver? Quote
