EKE BBB Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 (edited) In the latest batch from Fresh Sound Records, there are two new CDs that could be of interest for crazy EKE&Ellingtonians lovers: FSR-CD 531 - Mercer Ellington - Stepping Into Swing Society reissues -Mercer Ellington - Stepping Into Swing Society (Coral CRL 57225) -Mercer Ellington - Colors In Rhythm (Coral CRL 57293) FSR-CD 532 - The Music Of The Great Ellingtonians reissues -Harry Carney - The Duke's Men (Philips LP 12": 849.106), also issued as [Columbia LP 12": 33SX 1323 — Rock Me Gently] and [Metronome LP 12": MLP 15066 — Rock Me Gently] -Booty Wood - Hang In There (Master Jazz Recordings LP 12": MJR 8102 — Hang In There) also issued as [Columbia LP 12": 33SX 1342 — Booty] and [Metronome LP 12": MLP 15074 — Hang In There] -Paul Gonsalves/Harold Ashby - Tenor Stuff (Columbia LP 12": 33SX 1379) To my knowledge, none of these LPs have been reissued on CD in their entirety.
