Aftab Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 B) I'd like to share my most recent live jazz experience as a haiku = On Saturday night I saw the Mingus Big Band. They were the shizzy! WOW! That's all I can say. Ku-Umba Frank Lacy - dude, that guy is cool! Frank Stubblefield, Ryan Kisor, et al were awesome Saturday night at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. Has anyone seen/heard these guys before? I would HIGHLY recommend going to see them if you haven't. They play every week in NYC - check them out!!!! Quote
kh1958 Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I've been going to see the Mingus Big Band for about 10 years, whenever I've been in New York on a Thursday night (used to be Wednesday night). It is always a thrill to see them at the Time Cafe, in the basement. I wish I could see them more than one or two times a year. Quote
