I'd be grateful for any information about an album I've just acquired on the Decca '60s budget label Ace of Clubs. Entitled West Side Story Blues by 'The Other Four' it's on the one hand a blatant attempt to cash in on the popularity of the Robert Wise film and on the other a very nice jazz quartet album of the songs- with piano, guitar, bass, drums. The pianist is Eddie Thompson-ish and the bass, which is quite up in the mix, is also interesting. No personnel listed and a Google search has come up with nothing. The no is ACL-R 1118.
