AccuJazz Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 Hey Organissimo folks, it's AccuJazz programmer Lucas Gillan back with our newest channel. It's called "Emerging Voices" and it plays only music by young jazz musicians (meaning under 40). Read on to see what it's all about! AccuJazz Internet radio continues its weekly roll-out of new creatively programmed jazz channels today with the launch of "Emerging Voices," a streaming jazz channel playing exclusively jazz by young musicians. The channel is completely free to use and available 24 hours a day. While the AccuJazz programmers love and treasure the classic jazz recordings of yesterday's jazz greats, it would be a tragedy to turn a blind eye to all of the magnificent young talent making waves today. There are more active young jazz musicians today than ever before, and the music they are making will be the classics of future generations of jazz lovers. "Emerging Voices" is an essential outlet for undiscovered young talent, playing music by lesser known youngsters just getting their start. It also highlights the excellent under-40 jazz musicians who have already made names for themselves, like Jason Moran, Esperanza Spalding [pictured], Aaron Parks and more. "Emerging Voices" is part of a weekly roll-out of new AccuJazz channels and brings the total AccuJazz channel tally to 35. It joins other popular AccuJazz channels like "Piano Jazz," "Straight Ahead," and "Groove Jazz." As with all AccuJazz channels, listeners can customize their experience by pausing, skipping songs, and "deselecting" artists they would rather not hear. Listen now at AccuJazz.com. Quote
