blind-blake Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Just heard a few bits of him on a web site, and the clips sounds pretty good. Anyone know anything about him? Quote
michel devos Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 (edited) Actually, I ran into his records upon recommendation from guitarist Bob Devos.Bob is a superb player and he definitely loves the Hammond, so his word is really valuable for me : bought 2 CD's , Street talk and Urban Paradise... Both are very good, excellentlly recorded and feature excellent programs ; The format for Street talk is the usual org.guit.drms + guests David Newman and Houston Person and flutist Dave Valentin and i find playin this cd unusually often. Bob plays guitar on the Street talk album, and is also the producer, makin it my favorite of the 2 albums. Unfortunately, the booklets do not give lots of info : italian origin, born in the New York area, a father musician and band leader taught him accordion and organ, main influence is of course jimmy Smith etc.. Anyway, I highly recommend Vince Seneri in Street talk Edited May 27, 2009 by michel devos Quote
