Any Board members attending this weekend's Monterey Jazz Festival?

Send me a PM and maybe we can meet somewhere on the Festival grounds.

I will be flying in to San Jose and then renting a car to drive to Monterey.

Featured acts are Conrad Herwig's Latin Side All-star Band w/ Randy Brecker and Joe Lovano, Hank Jones and Joe Lovano Quartet, Lincoln Center Orchestra (with you know who), Jason Moran, Brubeck Quartet, Corea, Clarke, and White.

Grounds artists (more interesting to me): Toshiko and Lew Tabackin, Vijay Iyer, Jonathan Batiste, John Patitucci Trio, Rodriguez Bros., New Orleans All-Stars with Cyril Neville and Henry Butler, Ambrose Akinmusire, several great panel discussions, and on Sat. afternoon, Pete Seeger added to the usual blues only shows.

They have set strict restrictions on photographers this year-NO photos anywhere in front of stage....

Can't believe that no one else is going to the Monterey Jazz Fest.

I leave Friday AM for flight to San Jose and then drive to Monterey.

Can help drive someone from San Jose.

Coming back on Monday.

didn't get to see this post until now, jazzkrow! i was at the Festival and had an amazing time. enjoyed about 17 different events! i'm certain you had a great time as well!
