AmirBagachelles Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 I have most everything available on Amazon, really I would like to find his old vinyl issues on FMP/SAJ, and the fairly recent CDs on the WIM label. I just got "Lust" (WIM) this week off DMG's shelves; I was hooked before but I now realize he has a substantial and obscure catalog of work. I would bet there are more gems. Thanks for any leads etc. Dan Quote
P.L.M Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 (edited) There is a recent record from Fred capture in live concert at the Belgie in Hasselt (I was at the concert). The record is not under his name but untitled "Ryhm Section + Fred Van Hove: Hear Here Now" It's three improvisations (Hear, Here, Now), two at the piano, one at the accordion, where Fred is backed by Peter Jacquemyn on double bass and Tatsuya Nakatani on percussion. Very beautifull. It's edited on the (K-RAAK-K) label You can get it, I think at www.kraak.net I suppose that you know also about the record that Evan Parker has published on his label psi (Fred van Hove "Journey") in 2008, two solo improvisations capture in Concert at Jazz à Mulhouse in 2007. David Ayers Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Peter Stubley lists quite a few obscure items... I'd be interested to know how many/which ones of these you have and what they are like. Quote
